About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Coordinator to join the team, to support the Commercial Operations Manager in identifying and implementing opportunities to improve margin performance, within the company owned and company operated estate!

The Convenience operation is based in York and the Licensed operation is based in Crewe. This role will be split between both York and Crewe to allow the colleague to work closely with the relevant stakeholders in Trading; Marketing; Finance and Store Design.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Coordinate range compliance by store across the company owned and company operated estate
  • Support store matrix maintenance, ensuring the information is accurate and up to date
  • Ensure stores are ranged in line with data analysing, customer trends and insight
  • Coordinate with Operations on stock holding and organise sell off opportunities to maximise margin
  • Drive own brand performance and category mix to optimise profitable sales at store level
  • Coordinate promotion plans with Trading and Operations
  • Support with EPOS set up across all stores
  • Manage and coordinate communications on promotional activity
  • Create and monitor the exit strategy on promotional activity
  • Check category participation against pricing principles
  • Review and address any issues before they go live in stores
  • Input accurate and timely analysis into margin review documentation

About You

  • Ability to analyse varying levels of data to make decisions and recommendations
  • Commercial understanding of profit and margin performance
  • Project planning and project reporting experience
  • Excellent Excel skills and analytical skills
  • Flexible and adaptable in line with the needs of our retailers and the business
  • The ability to prioritise tasks
  • Superb attention to detail
  • Experience comprising both shop floor and support office
  • Previous experience in ambient or fresh is desirable but not essential
